| Introduction | David Minihan, Director of Tennis, is in his 11th year of operating Westwood Tennis Center, 2007 USTA Outstanding Facility of the Year. David played his collegiate tennis at the University of Incarnate Word. David is best known for his work with “grass roots” tennis and he has been recognized with many awards by both the USTA district and section. Such awards include 1999 Missouri Valley Outstanding Contributor to USTA Youth Tennis, 1999 and 2000 Oklahoma District Outstanding Contributor to USTA Youth Tennis, 1999 Oklahoma District Excellence in Junior Player Development, 2002 District Outstanding Contributor to USA Team Tennis, 2003 Oklahoma District Excellence in Tennis Programming and 1998 USPTA Oklahoma Professional of the Year. David is also a published writer, most recently publishing “The Player to Watch Program” in Advantage, an international tennis magazine. In addition, David is a national tournament director directing USTA district, sectional and national tournaments. David is also a United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) member with a Professional 1 rating. David is married to Lisa and has two daughters, Aspen and Chloe. |
