| Introduction | People know me as a serious senior citizen who wants to give back to the world that has given him so much in life. I really am attracted to the great causes and issues of good citizenship. What people don't generally know about me is that I have a good sense of humor. I laugh at myself a lot, I have fun thinking of the most ordinary, mundane things. I am not a quick wit, so I can't be an impromptu comic, but I usually find humor in my after-the-fact reflections. This, I guess, makes me qualified to write a blog about humor in our daily lives. Lately, because so much is going on that affect people's lives all over the world, I have temporarily lost my sense of humor and can only look at the world through the eyes of a serious, even cynical, observer. |
