| Introduction | Charity Shop Orphans started in 2004 when I transformed my growing collection of charity shop animal ornaments into family groups, giving them names and new colours. There are now over 200 individuals and 25 families. As with my other ceramic reconstructions the project could be described as transformation from undesired into desired objects. Other elements explore nostalgic design into contemporary aesthetic and the universal understanding of family and lineage. |
