| Introduction | What is Semester at Sea? Semester at Sea (SAS) is a study–abroad program founded in 1963, now managed by the Institute for Shipboard Education in Fort Collins, Colorado, USA. Colorado State University is the current academic sponsor for the program while the program itself is run on a cruise ship. Our ship: The MV World Odyssey is the sixth ship in Semester at Sea’s history. This ship, like its predecessors, serves as a traveling home and campus that brings approximately 700 undergraduate students to the farthest reaches of the globe every semester. |
