| Introduction | I've been a software developer working with database driven applications written in C, Visual Basic, Python, VBA, SQL, etc. I've always been following just behind the bleeding edge, pioneering and pushing the envelope. Starting with running 3 simultaneous users on a 286 with 4 meg of RAM up to the time that I learned that an efficiently programmed application on a 486 could saturate a T1 connection to the Internet. Now I write multiprocessing Python programs that use AMQP and 0MQ. In addition I am learning both Erlang and Scala (which is an Erlang-like language for the JVM). |
