| Introduction | I am... a creative, entrepreneurial spirit ~ and mother of Jake and Ashley, who continue to keep me grounded, focused, and committed. They're my inspiration and "do-good barometers". I embrace their laughter and silliness...a constant reminder of what is genuinely important here on Earth. Their curiosity, honesty, and altruism always encourage me to be a better person. When I take what I've learned from them and apply it in my life, fabulous things happen. Having kids has allowed me to heal some of my own wounds from childhood. Being a parent has given me insight that I couldn't have gotten anywhere else. I look at every 'thing' differently. I look at every 'one' differently. Even my parents. I used to look at them as parents. Now, they've become "people" to me...and now I can deeply connect with them on levels I never even thought of. I've discovered that, to see life through the eyes of a child, is to see it as it's meant to BE seen by God. As proud as I am of helping shape who my kids are becoming, I openly admit they've done an even more remarkable job in shaping who I've become. |
