| Introduction | I am a happily married, mother of three living in a Chicago suburb. I may be a stay-at-home mom now, but I am an Irish/Italian Southwest side of Chicago city girl at heart. Ah, the Southwest side, where sarcasm is a way of life – and where I sharpened my tongue into its current razor-like state. My deep-seated love of the “F word?” You'll have to forgive my profanity...I can't help it...it's in my blood. Like many young girls, when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would answer "famous...duh.” Although I have changed my tune (well maybe not the whole tune), I do so enjoy reading about the lives, lies, looks and lusts of celebrities – B-List, A-List; it matters not. It’s all about the story. For years, my friends have been telling me that my tabloid commentary is funny. Truthfully, sarcasm is just my way of covering up the epic failure of my own lifelong dream to be “famous.” Tabloids-bless their glossy little hearts-gather all the celebrities for us onto an anthill and set them on fire with one gigantic collective magnifying glass. What an indulgent, inexpensive, hour-long escape - the $4.00 tabloid magazine. |
