| Introduction | The lessons I learned when I undertook learning how to draw turned out to be more than art how-to. They were about the people themselves whom I was trying to draw. What I found most fascinating about what I was doing, was discovery that my real focus must not really be how to capture how they LOOKED, but more importantly express WHO they were--their INNER essence that best revealed their real identity, individuality and very being. These interior qualities are after all how we recognize and understand one another. |
