| Introduction | books and words are basically my life. i have more books in my bedroom - on the shelves, under the bed, stacked on the floor - than i care to think about. the power of words has always amazed and intimidated me, writing poetry is a way for me to explore the different ways in which words affect people. i save old books from fires and certain death in the recycling bin more often than I should because they begin to accumulate in taller and taller stacks. i enjoy writing almost as much as i love reading. i write bad poetry, short stories and, if i had the patience and attention-span to actually complete longer stories, i would write those, too. i have been writing in a diary almost daily for the past 5 or so years and it remains very important to me; it's a kind of closure at the end of each day. i have many other interests as well: bellydancing, firefighting, playing piano, babies, photography, graveyards, ouija boards, doodling, friends, food etc. so i may occasionally post more than just poetry. this is getting too long...thanks for checking out my blog |
