| Introduction | I am a life long learner and my name is Brenda Avance. I have been employed in GarlandISD for the past 16 years. I live in Rowlett with my husband of 37+ years where we have raised 3 boys and now have two girls picked by two of our boys as their brides. I love God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and life in general. I love people. I am the Vocational Adjustment Coordinator at the Garland Independent School District Transition Learning Center in Downtown Garland and work with students with special needs to help them find paid and volunteer jobs in the community and transition to adult life. I completed my Masters in Education Administration in 2009 and have just started my Superintendent Certification on-line with Lamar University in January 2012. |
