| Introduction | Some of my fondest memories of childhood involve rolling many funny-shaped dice with friends late into the night as we conquered dungeons and rescued princesses. Even in those early days, I loved tinkering with the rules and the creative freedom of designing vast universes filled with interesting peoples and interwoven histories.
