| Introduction | I have been fishing for 7 years now, ever since my partner took me on a few day sessions to a small venue in Shropshire. Up until 2 years ago I only fished for carp but now I have changed my fishing to give me more of a variety and I believe more of a challenge. So now I generally fish for carp throughout the year but during the main fishing season I enjoy catching the odd catfish and sturgeon as well. The waters I fish vary from a small lake of only 1.5 acres which in areas is only a rod length wide to a 65 acre reservoir with a small head of fish. I have also fished in Australia a couple of times and go to France for between 6 and 8 weeks a year travelling to a variety of venues. Doing this throughout the year presents me with a wide variety of fishing situations each giving me their own challenge. I have to say I enjoy them all and sometimes wish I worked less to enable me to fish more, no matter what the weather. |
