| Introduction | I’m a New Yorker who can’t believe she’s a senior citizen. But there are records that show I put in the time, and this blog is one of them. Looking back over my life, I’ve often found myself shouting, “Hell! I’ve fallen and I have to get up!” Because every time I fell I had to search for a lifeline, create one, or pray for divine intervention. I had to keep moving. Here, I share stories about doors that were shut in my face, windows people slammed on my fingers, and rugs that were pulled out from under my feet. But I’m still here, and every piece of me is intact. So I want to be your mirror. If a kernel of my truth resonates in you, if you know a piece of my struggle, maybe this blog can help validate you.
