| Introduction | As I grow into one of the "elders" in my life, I find it more and more important to seek and celebrate the bountiful pleasures that can be found in life at any time, if I just keep open to it. Such joy can be found in nature, or the face of a friend, or in my own backyard. I decided to share some of my enjoyment here. All of the pictures and video that will be used in this blog have either been taken by me, or my guy, Biff, or a friend using my camera (but mostly me). Life is hard – certainly I haven’t figured it out, yet! – but it is also beautiful. This space, for me, will be all about a stronger focus on the beauty. One of my favorite books is “Eternal Echoes,” by John O’Donohue. It contains several beautiful “blessings” – the following is a quote from one of those: “May you arise each day with a voice of blessing whispering in your heart that something good is going to happen to you.” When I remember to actively pursue happiness, I can usually find something really good in my day. My wish for all of us! |
