| Introduction | Whether it be with my family, dogs or horses my happy place is being on a trail and my blog records my rides with my orange horse and bay pony. By sharing my routes, I hope it will inspire others to explore more on horseback. Routes take in trails in the Lake District, Cumbria, Yorkshire Dales and North Lancashire and are open to all - walkers, cyclists, equestrians and 4x4 off road wheelchair users. Sometimes I may also write about other outdoor access issues, being a keen campaigner on such matters and a trustee of The Trails Trust. Away from the trail If I am not down Ellers Meadow looking after our animals I am either running Envirotech Ecological Consultants with my husband Andrew Gardner or with our two boys. Both Andrew and I have spent over 20 years advising clients about ecology and land management, but now we have Ellers Meadow we are enjoying our own conservation work. |
