| Introduction | Although I only know three chords on my old Silvertone flattop, I once cut a demo of my songs in Nashville's famous Woodland Studio, where artists as diverse as Robert Plant, Roy Acuff, Mother Maybelle Carter, and Gordon Lightfoot have recorded through the years. I was born in Nashville and grew up listening to the Grand Ole Opry and Country Music on the radio, but I'm also a fan of film noir, mystery novels, and Shakespeare’s tragedies. Besides the education we all get from being knocked around by life, I was formally educated at Martin Methodist, Middle Tennessee State University, and Peabody College. I've been married to a wonderful woman name Joyce for fifty one years, and we have one son, five grandsons, one great grandson and one great granddaughter. Before becoming a mystery writer, I enjoyed a successful career as a college professor and Dean. |
