| Introduction | Domestic wannabe farm goddess to dh (and Star Wars Trooper) Dean. I recently turned 40 and now that our children are getting more independent, I'm exploring new interests (like SW costuming) and rediscovering those I set aside long ago. I'm a night owl and think best when I can escape and find a quiet place or after everyone has gone to bed! I really enjoy early morning walks alone on our property, just when the sun is coming up, especially when it's still foggy... It's the time when I can be at one with nature. I enjoy being around interesting and unusual people and discovering who they are. I enjoy being comfortable and for me that means not being dressed up. You will seldom see me with makeup and most often you will find me wearing braids. |
| Interests | The natural world, my horse Turbo, organic foods & holistic approaches, homesteading & learning to live a more self-sufficient lifestyle, camping, weather, Waldorf-inspired homeschooling, exploring my ever-evolving spirituality. I love spending time with good friends having intimate conversations over a delicious meal all while enjoying a bottle of wine! I LOVE cooking, music, arts, and crafts of all types and dreaming of things yet to come....... |
| Favorite movies | There are really to many to list, so here's a sampling... Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, Sense & Sensability, Pride & Prejudice... You get the point. Sci-fi, horror, thriller and action & adventure films like the Star Wars Episodes, several of the Dracula movies, The Professional... There really are so many. Romance movies like Le grand bleu (The Big Blue), The Notebook, Persuasion, Like Water for Chocolate, Cold Mountain, Lady Hawk, The Piano, Dangerous Liaisons, Man From Snowy River, etc... I also like Wind Walker, Whale Rider, Dances with Wolves, Jeremiah Johnson, Little Big Man... The list goes on, I really LOVE movies!!! |
| Favorite music | I'm a child of the 70's, so what can I say... the classics. I also enjoy opera, classical, blues, old wave (or whatever they call it today), bluegrass, the soundtrack to The Big Blue, Humpback Whale songs, the sounds of Native American song & dance, and what ever else moves me. |
| Favorite books | It's been too long since I've sat down with a book. Off the top of my head... Watership Down, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, many of the Anne Rice books. It's a shame but I can't think of more (sigh). I must make it a priority to curl up with a book more often and expand my list, I really do enjoy reading. |
