As I prepared to retire, the peace and quiet (and low prices) of a rural lifestyle once again became appealing. Since my job as an IT Business Consultant allowed me to telecommute, I purchased a historic home in Hillsboro (Highland County) and began a love affair with the area I now cover. Once I was fully retired, I wanted a new career that combined my love of history and small town living and made use of my IT background.
