| Introduction | I have been reading about and looking at Trees of Jesse for a quarter of a century. Since it is unlikely that I will ever write a book, I thought I would share some of what I have learned and continue to learn as scholarship on medieval stained glass has advanced considerably in the past ten years as interdisciplinary studies on the glass material as well as historical archeological research has continued. Though real-life intervenes and I have had to start and stop this blog over the years, my interest continues. As time permits, there is much more material that I have collected that needs to be posted. Very rarely I wander off target to discuss other medieval stained glass and the stories that are told in them. Sometimes I look with modern eyes at the typological windows and wonder why the medieval mind linked those stories together as a lesson for life.
