Introduction	I am an attorney by day, but an aspiring photographer and wannabe brewer by night (and weekends). After 39 years in the northeast, I moved to the Midwest in 2009. I find myself missing the east coast in part because I find the Midwest to be geographically challenged. So, in between jobs, I decided to see what the Midwest had to offer, at least within an eight hour drive of Chicago. I intended to make this trip of self-discovery on my new motorcycle, but the poor weather thwarted my plans. I headed out in my car with my camera to find the Midwest and, hopefully, a little bit of myself. After I returned, I volunteered as a law clerk for about 4 months, then spent a painful 2 1/2 months unemployed. I then went back to my volunteer position, but as a paid clerk, while I continued to look for a position doing civil rights work. In August 2010, I started at a new position working for the state doing civil rights work. I have taken a few photography classes and my job at the state allows me to have to time to enjoy this new hobby. I have also been able to do a fair amount of running and have recently gotten back into playing tennis. I guess Chicago has been pretty good.
