Introduction	Fall 2009 This site is a virtual trail of the documentation of the short lived art titled, "CHALKING" by Lee Aulson. The statement, "I AM CHALKING MY WAY THROUGH THIS" was repeatedly written onto pavement using dampened chalk. Each letter was individual stenciled around the parameter of the Massachusetts College of Art + Design outdoor courtyard. The courtyard is roughly the size of a high school football field. Within the span of thirty-eight hours, the poetic, labor endured process took twenty-one hours and seventeen minutes. The finished physical art lasted one day before rain washed away the chalk.
