IntroductionSomebody who enjoys listening, sometimes more than talking. I'm not afraid of solitude, nor of having company, I celebrate both. I dont know what "homesick" means, because I'm not sure if I ever felt it. What I know is the feeling of "restless". I've always had an ambivalent sense of "home", I've had at least ten of those, so far. Which is why I'm not afraid to get lost, or go places, because I'm certain that wherever I go, I'd find myself, some lessons in life, and a bigger perspective. I always bring an overnight bag, in case I end up anywhere. I love to dance, and for people to dance with me. I love to cook because I love to eat. I walk fast.
InterestsWatching cinema, sniffing pages of real books, spending time with friends (new and old) drinking beer, dancing (onstage and for fun), yoga and other exercises that lets you find your center, having something really delicious to go with an empty stomach, running, walking...
Favorite moviesFilms: Volver and other Almodovars, hilarious ones like La Cage Aux Folles and Working Girls (Filipino film), sad ones like Atonement, biopics like La Mome, tender ones like 500 Days of Summer; Polanski films like Frantic, The Pianist; The Godfather; Slumdog Millionaire; La Haine; Shortbus; Children of Heaven; Beautiful Thing; Jeu d"enfants; Himala (Miracle) etc. Most recent film I saw: The Ghost Writer by Roman Polanski...
Favorite musicMusic: (What's in my current collection) Daft Punk, Lhasa, Pink Floyd, Paris Combo, Caetano Veloso, Sigur Ros, Libera, Edith Piaf, Jason Mraz, PutuMayo, Carla Bruni, Buena Vista Social Club; Chick Corea, Grace Nono etc. Last album I liked was a collection of Indian ghazals...
Favorite booksBooks: (What I've read) Beside the River Piedra, 11 Minutes and Alchemist by Coelho; Shame by Rushdie; Travels in Hyperreality by Eco; Video Nights in Kathmandu by Iyer; Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman by Murakami... etc. Last book I read was American Gods by Neil Gaiman...
