| Introduction | Welcome to my blog! My name is Aimee Cortez and I am a student at Richmond High School graduating in June 2017. I have been part of my school's music program since my freshman year. It has developed significantly since then. I also have taken or am taking part in college programs such as STEM Gooden College and College is Real, which help guide and push me to graduate high school and a 4-year university. In the summer of 2016, I will be involved in the Ivy League Connection. I will take a Women and Leadership course in Brown University at Rhode Island. I am very excited about this opportunity because I look forward to gaining more experience meeting students from around the world and experiencing a college atmosphere first-hand. When I return back home from the east, I hope to inspire the youth to take every opportunity they can and to pursue a successful educational path. |
