| Introduction | I am a 27 year old single working mother and student. Growing up, having never been taught about government or economics by my family, I found them to be very difficult subjects in school. I did poorly in high school government courses and didn't take another government course until Texas Politics last semester. I have wanted to get more involved and educated on the subject for some time now and since taking the course on Texas politics feel more informed and interested in getting involved. I scored 54.55% on the Civics Quiz which, I am proud to say, is higher than average. Currently, I feel my political ideology to be left-leaning pluralist, or what the Political Typology Test would call Post-Modern. I am generally supportive of government, with strong support for regulation and environmental protection. I tend to be liberal on social issues and am unaffiliated with religious tradition. I am a fan of diplomacy. |
