| Introduction | I began my college career at the University of St Thomas, St Paul, MN with the study of English Composition and concluded it as a business school graduate of California State University at Los Angeles. This blog is a diary of writing my first novel, "Extinction Shrugged: a panspermia hypothesis" (Amazon - Kindle $4.99). The novel employs historical fiction and a bit of science speculation as the interpretive vehicles that drive this story through a Neolithic age still wrapped in mystery and controversy, offering alternative explanations to popular, but as yet unsettled, history. These blog posts outline my first notion – the why - about writing this book; the reasoning behind the concept; character development; and sources of ideas for the various story scenes. As I near the completion of my writing goal, I explain the difficulty and frustration (and gallows humor) attached to the activity of attempting to obtaining literary agency representation. And, as a self-defense - or better – a self-offense counter struggle, I explain the morass I plod through to self-publish this book, encountering millions of other authors vying for the same E-readership. |
