| Introduction | This blog is an initiative of UWS arts students to protest the decision on the part of the University's College of Arts/School of Communication Arts to axe three of its key arts programs: Fine Arts, Electronic Arts and Performance. A Bachelor of Contemporary Arts has been planned to replace Fine Arts and Electronic Arts, and according to Head of School, Associate Professor Lynette Sheridan Burns: "student intake has been approved by the UWS Course Approvals and Articulations Committee and will be introduced in 2008." Performance, however, is not being reinstated in any form. Please send us leads, links, info and stories relating to this situation and we will post on your behalf. If you are an artist or performer who studies or studied arts at UWS, your support would be especially appreciated. Spread the word and let your network know what is going down at UWS.
