| Interests | God, life, family, books, ideas, teaching, friends, sports...life is fascinating and I love the people closest to me in this journey: my wife and two sons. |
| Favorite Movies | Have movies really done any good lately? (Just kidding, Steve L.) I do think we might be better off if Hollywood had never happened...but I have enjoyed alot of inspiring movies. Recently I saw "Ivan Hoe" and was moved by the story and its themes. "Up", the recent animated story was delightful I thought. |
| Favorite Music | A bit put out with so much of the industry now days, esp. the Christian music world. And yet...so much value and good stuff. I like stuff in the typical classical genre and really do not listen to very much seriously. Best music experience in recent years was hearing the Lex Philharmonic present Handel's Messiah. There was -- rightly so, in my view -- a touch of other-worldliness there. All music should do that, should form the soul toward all that is good and beautiful and right. Choosing music that does that is a high task indeed. |
| Favorite Books | Reading Jan Karon right now ("Mitford") as well as Peter Kreeft, some Solzhenitsyn, Lee Stroebel, and whatever else happily comes my way day to day. & years later update: 'whatever else' is mostly true, thought Kreeft and Solzhenitsyn have been on the docket again of late. |
