| Introduction | Chathura Rajapakse is an alumna of the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan from where he received a Doctor of Engineering degree in Computational Intelligence and Systems Science in March 2015. He also possesses a Master of Engineering degree from the same university as well as a B.Sc. (Special) degree in Industrial Management from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. Before joining the Department of Industrial Management, University of Kelaniya as a lecturer in 2007, he worked in the private sector as a market analyst for nearly one and half years and then as a lecturer at the faculty of Information Technology, University of Moratuwa for a short period. He is currently working as a senior lecturer in computing as well as the senior academic adviser of the B.Sc. degree programme in Management and Information Technology. He is also working as a visiting lecturer at the University of Moratuwa, University of Sri Jayawardenapura and the Institute of Chartard Accountants in Sri Lanka, as well as a resource person to the Ministry of Education of Sri Lanka. His main areas of interest are big data analytics, machine learning, business intelligence, data warehousing, etc. |
