Introduction | I'm a professor of English and Film Studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as well as Chair of the English Department. I focus my research activities on German cinema. While I have predominantly worked on German cinema since unification, I recently began researching the New Munich Group, a small group of loosely affiliated filmmakers who emerged in the mid-1960s. I am also interested in the event of "1968" as well as in the question of political cinema. You can find out more about my scholarship, teaching, and career here: http://www.marcoabel.com. |
