About me

Introduction	Marrying young, my husband, Jeremy, and I promised each other much more than we were able to give. I longed to go to Italy and start a life on an Italian countryside with a vineyard, garden, cottage, and the culture of European cities just a train ride away. Yet, none of that was a reality for me. I was unhappy. But more, I was guilty. How could I really be selfish enough to ask for all this? But, how could I change my heart? First, I would change my actions and hope my desires would follow. And they did... I opened my eyes enough to see that all the things I longed for were right in front of me (just in different packaging). So, I pulled up my big-girl panties and decided to go for it. This is the story of how we are building our simple and beautiful life right where we are. We are not planning to move our family to Italy any time soon. But that does not mean that we can't create our own little Italy right where we are. I am not going to settle for living in disappointment any longer. Jesus told me that He came that I may live my life to the fullest, and that is just what I intend to do...right where I am.
