Interests The whole gang loves traveling. Most love board sports, some like team sports, a couple like dance classes, and one is heavy into tennis right now. Dad would love to be a golfer, mom just sticks to running and the gym. Or watching TV and knitting - really. Lots of music and drama in everybody. But-- Anything having to do with the beach would have to be considered the universal favorite, for sure.
Favorite Movies Our family is famous for quoting movies and there's a huge repertoire we choose from. Among the favorites - It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World, What's Up Doc?, The In-Laws (original), Pollyanna, Clifford (with Martin Short), Planes Trains & Automobiles, just to mention a very few. Anything Disney is memorized and sung often. Newer Favorites must include The Illusionist, Iron Man, Bourne Anything, Bond Anything, and Twilight - doomed to be a cult classic.
Favorite Music Between all of us we like almost every kind of music there is. Dad hooked everyone on Chicago and The Eagles and America looooong ago. Mom cries over certain choral numbers and Josh Groban songs and gets goosebumps from The Pines of Rome and Puccini-opera-anything and still likes a heavy dose during workouts of Chris Daughtry, funk, rock, and pop. Brooke added crooners and Chinese pop-stars to the mix; Paige converted us to Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and Sugarland; Hayley sings along with the high notes in Phantom, and we even put up with Veggie Tales songs and Funkytown.
Favorite Books Besides the scriptures? Harry Potter - what else? Twilight series of course. Dad listens to any audio book he can find that deals with history/politics/sciences. historical fiction or non-fiction for Mom. Anything by Elder Holland. Favorite bedtime reading by the little ones - National Geographic.
