| Introduction | i'm in estonia. i really am. i'm almost sure of it. by all accounts i should be. i mean, that was the plan not more than a mere 3 months ago. so why should things be different? it's really quite funny and perplexing the random twists, turns and fourier analyzed sinusoidal ups and downs that life takes a person through even when one's crafted his or her's "life's perfect plan". believe me, i'd never stop laughing if ANOTHER unaccounted for deviation inverted my own "life's perfect plan". thank god my plan is perfect. ain't life about to catch me off guard again. not this time. so, if i'm in estonia, then it means that i should be bundled up, leading a cushy, eastern european traveling life instead of running around in sweltering heat setting up teleseismic stations all throughout an east-west running diagonal trend across mexico with the hopes of advancing seismic research, tomographic mapping and plate tectonic sensing. and, if i'm in estonia (cuz really, that's what i told anyone who would listen to me), why is it that i find a taco stand on every corner? crazy estonians. and here i thought they loved their blood sausages. |
