Introduction Jay Semko is known worldwide as singer/songwriter/bassist with multi- platinum Canadian rock icons the Northern Pikes, who were inducted in 2012 into the Western Canadian Music Hall of Fame, and as an award winning music composer for numerous film and television productions, including one of Canada's most successful internationally syndicated series, "Due South". Jay's songwriting and composing for film &TV has earned 2 Canadian Music Publisher Association Awards, 5 Juno Award nominations as a member of the Pikes, 2 Gemini Award nominations, and a 2013 Canadian Screen Award nomination, among many others. He has co-written with many well-known songwriters in Canada and the USA, and recorded with many of the best musicians in the world. In addition to Jay's numerous albums with the Northern Pikes, he has released 9 solo albums, receiving radio airplay around the world. His latest album is entitled Flora Vista, released on Inner Expression Records on November 4, 2014, and winner of the 2015 SCMA Award for Roots Album of the Year. Jay is currently at work on his new album, slated for release in early 2017.
