Introduction Within this space can anyone paint an accurate portrait of himself? At best, we can provide only a fleeting glance through an angled mirror in which the briefest of reflections is captured-- through the glass darkly, perhaps, but the glass is a kaleidoscope. So who am I? A social liberal and fiscal conservative, a gun-owning, pro-choice, supporter of the death penalty, and an advocate for human rights who much prefers pets to children and is unimpressed by political correctness; a daughter, a sister, a lover, a bitch, a demanding perfectionist, a generous friend; a writer, photographer, artist, and actress, at home in any corner of the world, but hiding out from the new millennium and its discontents in an odd little village on the Oregon coast, where everyone is at least slightly mad and no one seems to care; an optimist, a pessimist (depending on the time of day and day of the week), a well-bred bohemian who revels in expensive shoes, symphonic music, 40-year-old tawny port, and becoming friends with the deer, raccoons, skunks, and bear who are also drawn to the oceanfront hillside where I have my home. There you have it... only a beginning, and scarcely that…
Interests Politics, theater, animals, the arts, literature, travel, music, superb food and even better wine, and the company of other interesting (if sometimes difficult) people such as myself.
