Introduction	I am a self-confessed book addict and reading junkie. I am especially susceptible to new young adult literature and have been known to strike up a conversation about reading and writing with a total stranger (much to the chagrin of my husband and children). I find picture books are as delightful as the adult fiction I occasionally take the time for. I have been teaching communication arts for 21 years, with most of that time at the middle school level. (Aren't 7th-graders wonderful?!) Though they're not quite as quirky as my students, I also like working with new teachers and have spent the last 5 years also as coordinator of secondary communication arts for the St. Joseph School District.
