| Introduction | We are hard at work getting our floating home ready to head south... Muriel and I have been planning this adventure for almost twenty five years, since we bought our first boat. We spent most of our summer weekends and holidays cruising the lakes in Ontario. When we decided to try sailing, we bought a 23 foot Grampian and learned to sail with four children in tow. The dream began. We kept that Grampian for 10 years. We then moved up to a 26 foot Mirage, cruising Lake Ontario.Then found our current boat Mistress in Annapolis MD .We are both transit operators for the Toronto Transit Comission. We have operated streetcars, subways, and buses. It has been a very rewarding career, but now its time to change our mode of transportation to.... sail! We have four children, a beautiful daughter-in-law, and three beautifull grandchildren, whom are going to be very hard to leave...... But the sea is calling us. |
