| Introduction | I received the title for this page from a friend who describes himself as engaged in trying to live his life in gratitude.I am humbled and moved at such a striking attitude of quiet thankfulness for God's gifts of family and health and beautiful things which surround me. |
| Interests | Music-listening, appreciating, playing guitar (poorly). Proud to be a husband, father, and-gulp-grandfather, and lucky enough to be a stay-at-home parent right now. I did a 20-year stint in the restaurant world and I know my way around a kitchen. Came as an adult to the Episcopal Church, am inspired and mystified and humbled by the Holy Spirit present with me always. Engaged in serious theological study by way of CS Lewis, Barth, Neibhur, NT Wright, Kierkegaard. Somewhat political, but all the answers to life don't lie in legislation but in relationship with each other through God. Movies, good books, outdoors rambles through the woods. Enjoy a good workout at the gym and the resulting flush of endorphins through my veins. Moderate to serious Anglophile. |
| Favorite music | Anything from postpunk to new wave to classic rock to anti-folk to gypsy punk to classical to traditional Irish to honky-tonk. Try me, really. the Cure, the Who, Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, Beirut, Regina Spektor, Smiths, Mozart, Silversun Pickups, U2, Pogues, Bad Company, James Taylor, Liz Phair, Public Enemy, Fleet Foxes, the list just goes on forever. |
