Introduction | John Shepard, producer of the Center for Global Environmental Education’s (CGEE) media productions, is an associate professor in the School of Education and has served as assistant director of CGEE since 1996. He has written and produced more than 30 multimedia learning programs as well as radio and broadcast programs that have garnered dozens of national and international awards. His water-related projects include CGEE’s Waters to the Sea® multimedia series, Water Down the Drain, and The Urban Water Cycle among many others. Waters to the Sea® took top honors for interactive media at Bristol, England’s Wildscreen Festival, the world’s largest and most prestigious environmental media festival. Shepard holds a B.A. in social science from the University of the Pacific and an M.A. in Anthropology from Indiana University.
