Occupation Private Music Teacher
Location Branson, MO
Introduction I was privileged to begin studying violin at the young age of four. Music was to become an integral part of my life, a passion I would come to share with many. During high school, my musical studies included private violin, piano, and guitar lessons, and I was later accepted into the University of Georgia music program where I studied Speech Communications and Music. Having always had a love for children, I was presented with the opportunity to teach private music lessons during college and readily accepted the challenge. Working at Perimeter Academy of the Arts in Atlanta, I taught private violin lessons and ensemble groups while maintaining a private music studio in Atlanta and Athens. Upon moving to Branson, MO in 2006, I opened another private music studio, allowing me to continue teaching music while working towards a Master of Music with an emphasis in violin pedagogy, and a Master of Arts in Teaching at Missouri State University. In addition to teaching private lessons, I currently teach orchestra and ensemble groups in Springfield, MO. Having taught music for over eight years has only ignited within me a greater enthusiasm for sharing my passion with others.
