Introduction	At the start of January 2025, I received an email from my half sister who I'd never met before. This commenced a very new chapter of my life. One that I was pretty sure I wanted to step into, but completely unsure of how or what it would consequentially change in my life. As it turns out, there is no handbook or step-by-step guide for how to navigate meeting your biological relatives for the first time after nearly 30 years of life. I'm not sure how to do it "right" but I do know that I have a range of thoughts and feelings that have been showing up as this journey unfolds. Right now, the thing that makes the most sense to me is to put all my musings in one place. I don't know if anyone else will ever read these, but I think one day I'll be grateful for a snapshot of what this whole experience was like.
