| Introduction | Hi there, My name is Lohan Grobler, I'm an Illustrator. I've been drawing ever since I was able to hold a pen. Once I was able to put pen to paper, my purpose for being on this planet became clear. I'm able to illustrate my dreams, feelings, passions, fantasies, and even other peoples ideas or stories to paper. Pencil to paper was the way I was able to express myself. I don't talk much... I let the pencil do my talking. Being able to draw very well is the perfect platform to be able to make use of today's state of the art computer applications. I studied Graphic Design and soon realised the awesome power of technology..."Artist, meet application... from now on you will be best friends!" And so a beautiful relationship started with me and my Apple Macintosh with all it's applications. This talent of mine, being able to do an interpretation of words into an artwork, was soon recognised by art directors and creative directors working for advertising agencies. So... this is how I make a living. These creatives tell me their ideas and stories, and all I do is make it a reality with my artwork. Pretty simple. |
