| Introduction | I have been running since age 14 when I volunteered to run the 2 mile run in a high school track meet. I volunteered just so I could compete in varsity meets, but in the process discovered a new love. After high school I ran off and on over the years, peaking at the half marathon distance in 1991. Marriage to a wonderful woman, home ownership, and the addition of two awesome kids relegated running once again to an off and on activity. In 2008, I decided to finally address a long time goal to complete a marathon. On the way I rediscovered my love of running and hope to keep the fire burning for many years to come. |
