| Introduction | Hello and welcome to my blog. I am a figurative/portrait painter working in oils. I live in Devon, England with my husband and two children. While painting has always been a passion of mine, I’ve worked my way through a number of different jobs along the way. It’s only now since the birth of my second child in 2007 that I have really tried to make a go of it professionally. I have been interested in a number of different subject matters but more and more I am drawn back to people, figurative or portrait. I want to include some kind of narrative in my work, tell a story or at least tell part of someone else’s story. I do try to be empathetic in my work; I like to look for emotion. |
