| Introduction | I was three when I found my mom's red lipstick and decided to use the wall behind the TV as my canvas. After finding out I should never do that again, my dad began to bring home reams of paper for me to draw on. I LOVED drawing, but after graduating from high school, I worked in the optical business for nine years (I had my priorities... I wanted a car). After eight years of fitting eye glasses and memorizing physics formulas, I got my optician's license, and promptly decided it was time to do what I really wanted, and pursued a career in art. I went to the Art Institute of Atlanta and studied visual communications. I worked briefly in Emory University's Medical Illustration Department before going to work for a national sign company in Nashville. Then I became a free-lance digital designer while the kids were growing up. Now they are beginning their adult years and I'm devoting my time to a new medium—oil painting. |

Sponges and tongues are frequently misspelled. Is it because both are thirsty?
Let me think about that.
