| Introduction | I was born in Walsenburg, Colorado, but grew up among the now non-existent orange groves in Orange County, California where my mother taught me to love books by reading to me. I graduated from the University of California at Irvine (undergraduate & graduate). I still live in Irvine and am a business woman. Through both twisted and wonderful circumstances, I fell in love with Taos in February 2005. I began writing poetry then--but at the time I didn't know it was poetry--and am grateful. Most of my writing is about Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado where my ancestry is deeply rooted. |
