Introduction | I grew up in Essexville, Michigan, graduating from Garber High School in 1991. I left the state and went to Central College in Pella, Iowa (the city where Pella Windows are made). My junior year I spent a semester studying at the Sorbonne in Paris. After gradutating with a degree in French, I returned to France to teach high school English in the Breton town of Nantes. After a year there, I returned to Bay City where after a year of substitute teaching, I was hired into Bay City Public Schools teaching middle school French. After being in that position for 6 years, my position was "downsized" and I went to Central High school where I continue to work today teaching Advanced Placement and regular US history. |

What's the best time you've ever had licking stamps?
Ah, the days of licking stamps. How I miss them. The post office has taken away my joy since all stamps are self adhesive now. Don't they think of the little people??
