| Introduction | My name is Jada. I am a 33 yr. old woman. I was born in the city of Mexico. I came to the United States at the age of 4. I was raised in the city of Inglewood. I came here because I have a disability called Polio. The doctors in Mexico explained to my parents that it would be best if I came here to be seen by a specialist. My father who is diseased came here a year before me and my mother along with my brother's and sister's did. He came here in 1980 and we came in 1981. When I was in high school I decided to drop out in the 10th grade. That was the biggest mistake of my life. Now that I am older and wiser I have realized that education is the key to success. I am very pleased with my decision to come back to school. I am working on getting an AA and hope to graduate within the next few years. I am working as hard as I can to complete my courses. I am looking forward to a better, and smarter way of living. I want nothing more than to be successful in my life. I wasted to much time and now is the time to make it all up. Is never to late to start all over. |
