| Introduction | The Snarky Baker- I started baking in grad school when a catered lunch's dessert tray resulted in my humble announcement that "I could do better than that!" during a long Saturday finance class. The following week I made two different flavors of cupcakes for 40 people and thus my obsession with baking began. With my real life rooted in corporate Americn and half of my time spent at airports or hotels, I spend my "away time" reading baking blogs, watching youtube bakers create amazing treats and daydreaming of the next project I'll attempt at home. With the travel, I get to go all over the country where I always look for the local bakeshop to find what’s awesome – plus I’ve rarely met a cupcake I didn’t like – now you get to read about them! Finally, in the sometimes few and far between days at home, I’m making good use of my KitchenAid mixer trying to emulate my favorite online baking heros (I’m looking at you Bakerella!) and unloading my cakes, cupcakes, cakepops and brownies on my willing nieces & nephews, friends and family – and when I’m lucky – someone asks me to do something awesome – like cupcakes for a wedding |
