Introduction	I am a writer of fiction (poetry, short stories and plays). For my 50th birthyear, I'm planning to walk the Camino de Santiago with some friends, and would like to share my preparation for this so as not to veer from the course. Not much of an athlete or a diary writer, this seems like an appropriate challenge for a milestone birthday, and I only hope it is interesting enough to keep you and me engaged in reading and writing.
