| Introduction | Hi, my name is Anthony von Reichert and I am an artist. It sounds funny to hear me say that about myself even though I have always been very artistic my entire life. I began this journey with this blog mainly as a needle felt artist but there is no way I can limit myself to just needle felting even though it is one of my main passions. I also love wet felting (nunno felting), polymer clay sculpting, painting, sewing and clothing design and while I am still an avid singer, once upon a time I was a classically trained, professional opera singer as well as a trained sugar artist. Aside from formal training as a sugar artist and wedding cake designer, I have no other formal art training but have been determined not to let that stop me. I firmly believe that art is something that lives in your soul. Trained or not, sometimes you just have to let it out in the way it chooses to manifest itself from you. More often than not, you will surprise yourself with what you can do. |
